Auto Body Technician

We’re looking for several experienced (5-10 years) Auto Body Technicians to join our growing team! We’re consistently one of the busiest and most reputable auto body shops in the Capital District.

Auto Repair/Maintenance Mechanic

Available OT, Benefits & Bonus
We’re looking for a solid, experienced Automotive Technician to join our busy, family-owned Service Shop here in Glenmont. We trust our customers & community like they trust us with their vehicles and are looking for team-oriented professionals who take pride in their work.

Detailer

Detailer Responsibilities

  • Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors according to company procedures, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, wet sanding, and buffing
  • Apply protective finishes to paint, glass, and upholstery as needed
  • Remove dirt, stains, and debris from vehicle surfaces, carpets, upholstery, and floor mats
  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and quality, ensuring all detailing standards are met
  • Use cleaning, polishing, and buffing equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
  • Clean and dress tires, wheels, and trim
  • Organize cars in the parking lot and move/park vehicles as required within the facility
  • Dispose of trash and scrap metal appropriately
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including both the Auto Body and Auto Service shops
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report low stock to management
  • Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
  • Assist Office Manager, Body Shop Manager, and Service Shop Manager as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns or special requests
  • Adapt to changing priorities depending on customer and company needs
  • Multi-task job responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Detailer Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required (equivalent preferred)
  • Valid New York State driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Previous experience in auto detailing or car washing is a plus, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
  • Positive “can-do” attitude and pride in providing quality work
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and multi-task effectively
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
  • Looking to advance in a growing company
  • Automotive: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Driver’s License (Required)
